Chongqing student wins Miss Asia title

Wang Luyao, 18, from southwest China’s Chongqing, was crowned Miss Asia at the grand final of the 2018 Miss Asia Pageant on Dec 15, 2018 in Malaysia. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

Eighteen-year-old Wang Luyao won the 2018 Grand Final of the Miss Asia Pageant held on Dec 15 in Malacca, Malaysia.

Wang also won the awards for Miss Photogenic and Miss Outstanding Posture. The runner up was Liz Li and the second runner up was Su Jingyi.

Wang is a student majoring in broadcasting at the School of Journalism and Communication, Southwest University in southwest China’s Chongqing.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Asia Television’s Miss Asia Pageant
