Livestreaming host turns decorator of studios

Huang Yu, a post-1980 generation, discovered an opportunity in livestreaming and turned decorating livestreaming studios into a successful business.

Huang, a former livestreaming host, invested in high-definition livestreaming and lighting equipment and also researched cameras, microphones, sound cards, filters, code rates and network speed decoder.

Huang got into the business just by chance. He was invited to help a well-known cyber-celebrity to decorate her livestreaming studio. The result was so great that the celebrity began selling more products than before. Then, more and more Taobao hosts began to ask Huang and his team to help decorate their studios.

Now, Taobao's top 10 livestreaming hosts take help of Huang's team, and some livestreaming platforms also have signed business deals with him. Since February, the turnover has reached almost 5 million yuan ($732,654), Huang said.

Livestreaming means more reality and interaction, Huang said, adding that in the future, livestreaming will generate more opportunities in various industries.
