Advisory committee to be founded for manufacturing development
China may found a high-end advisory committee of world-leading manufacturing entrepreneurs for the country's manufacturing industry development.
"We will invite senior executives from world-leading international manufacturers to help China build a stronger manufacturing industry with their wisdom," said Li Xiaolin, president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC).
The committee will be founded by the CPAFFC, according to the president.
Li made the remarks in her speech at the 2018 World Manufacturing Convention, a three-day event that began Friday morning in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province.
The association has cooperated with the Global SME Alliance, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and the Anhui provincial government to hold the convention.
Hefei will be the permanent host for the convention, which is being held for the first time, according to Christian Wulff, chairman of the Global SME Alliance and former president of Germany.
