China International Cartoon and Animation Festival opens in Hangzhou

The Animation Expo focuses on Chinese animation and shows the achievements of China's excellent animation and game enterprises, like CCTV Animation, Alibaba Group, Tencent and NetEase to promote Chinese animation and cultural confidence.

As a “sunrise” industry, animation is an international cultural language and a new medium for Chinese culture overseas. This year, organizations and companies from 85 countries and regions participated in the festival, including the famous Peppa Pig from UK and Kumamon from Japan. And some production teams of winners and nominees for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film are also attending the festival.

In addition, CICAF Organizing Committee has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Taobao (China) Software Co., Ltd, jointly building an online platform to promote the exhibition of the festival and the industrialization, informatization and data integration in Chinese animation.
