Ctrip launches new corporate travel platform

China's biggest online travel agency Ctrip launched a new business trip customization platform on Jan 18.

More than 4,000 professional itinerary designers currently offer business trips to destinations worldwide, and can tailor packages based on corporate customers' specific needs in areas such as team building, meetings and study programs.

"Once customers file their requirements online, we will call them back shortly after," says Xu Zhiyun, CEO of Ctrip's tailored tour services.

The new corporate travel platform will be able to prepare other administrative requirements such as reimbursement, price comparison, contracts and invoices.

"Company (tour) customization has huge potential, and it won't be long before it accounts for half of the customization market," Xu says.

Ctrip began its customized tour service in 2016, and the number of tailored trips for individual travelers has reached about 120,000 a month, the travel agency says.
