The Fairmont Peace Hotel will host a very special afternoon tea that evokes the bygone era of 1930s Shanghai with the production of Noel Coward's famous comedy, Private Lives. Noel Coward, the famous English playwright and composer, struck down with influenza in Shanghai in 1930, and spent his convalescence in Room 314 writing Private Lives in only a few short weeks. Not only the play, but also original music from Coward's repertoire and as well as the dances of the era will be presented.
