4 Watch brand Jaquet Droz displays wares in Beijing

Swiss luxury watch brand Jaquet Droz's Automaton Collection Exhibition 2017, which opened in Beijing recently, showcases its new Tropical Bird Repeater. Its animated birds and other creatures, push the boundaries of art, unifying watchmaking and decorative expertise.

This exhibition houses the full Jaquet Droz automaton collection, bringing three humanoid automata together for the first time.

Beijing is where the brand's journey in China started more than 200 years ago, when the Western world discovered China. It was the first Western watch brand to be admitted into the grounds of the imperial palace in the Qing Dynasty in 1783, as one of the leading representatives of Western technological innovation.
