Share your Olympic photo story with usUpdated: 2007-05-18 11:05Olympic channel of chinadaily.com.cn has now launched a global campaign to solicit photo story about Beijing Olympics. To highlight the theme of "Love, Smile, Beijing”, the campaign calls for photo stories that show people serving and contributing to the 2008 Beijing Games. If chosen, your photo stories would be shared with thousands of netizens both at home and abroad. Submission guidelines : 2 There are NO limitations on the amount of photos, but originals are appreciated and explanatory captions in either English or Chinese are required. 3 Photos should be 400-pixels or above. 4. Please provide the title of the works, the photographer’s name, and contact information. Submission Procedures: Contributors who submit Olympic photo stories can post them on this site or send the works to 2008@chinadaily.com.cn under the title of “Love, Smile, Beijing”. At least two photo stories will be featured each week on “Beijing Snapshot” on the Olympic website. For more information please contact: Volunteer smiles are Beijing’s best calling card Tong Lili (the girl below) a sophomore from Beijing International Studies University, shows off her cute yellow satchel, embroidered with the word ‘volunteer’. The satchel, as well as her red skirt, was particularly designed for people serving at the IAAF World Junior Championships. Tong bravely asked Beijing Major Liu Qi to leave a message for World Junior and upcoming Olympic volunteers. Liu wrote down “the smiles of the volunteers are the best calling card for Beijing” , which has now become the slogan for the Beijing Olympic volunteer recruitment program. |
